DeVan Management is a local Tempe, family owned and operated general contractor. We are a one-stop-shop for all your renovation, restoration, and redesign needs. We also help with handy man services, interiors design, residential property management, and real estate investment. We work with a full team of designers, builders, property managers, and real estate investors who will make all your property dreams become a reality.
We are proud to say that most of our projects come from repeat clients and referrals. We would like to credit that to the combined 40+ years in construction, business management, and customer service experience we have. In 2011 DeVan Management was founded in Tempe, Arizona by Edward and Derek Van Der Werf. We started investing in properties in 2010, fixing them up, and renting them out. As time went on we begin to buy and hold more properties and eventually lead to the creation of DeVan Management. Now we run and manage multiple properties throughout the valley. We have expanded our business over the years and now offer full service general contractor services, handy-man services, and property investment opportunities.
Edward
Co founder
Edward has over 45 years of experience in both the construction and real estate industries. He earned a bachelor’s of science in civil engineering from Arizona State University. After college, in 1975, he founded a structural concrete restoration company based in Tempe, Arizona that has now expanded to over 48 states nationwide. He has also been involved in buying and managing multiple commercial properties in the valley. He began buying residential rental properties in 2010 which then blossomed into the start of DeVan Management. Edward is now mostly retired and enjoys his time working on classic cars and fly fishing.
Derek
Co Founder
Derek is the son of Edward and was a co-founder of DeVan Management. He currently holds the position of President at DeVan and oversees all day to day operations. In 2010, Derek began working with his father in the real estate industry. Since the start of the company he has helped grow this company with the help of his team to currently managing over 40+ rental properties and has also overseen 50+ construction projects. He works closely with each property and client to ensure the highest quality of service is always provided. He has also been involved in many different projects including purchasing, renovating, and selling many properties in the valley. When Derek is not in the office he enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, and playing the drums.
Amy & Chad
Interior Design
Amy & Chad are our in-house interior designers. They are a dynamic duo who have a passion for design. They have 20+ years of combined experience in interiors and fine arts. They have a passion for color theory and art history.
Anita
Office Manager - Do It All Lady!
Anita is our office executive and HR manager. She is our do it all lady and is a very integral part of our operation. She oversees our day-to-day bookkeeping, scheduling, answers phones, HR, rental property assist, and much more. She has 8 years of office experience and brings a charm to the company. When she is not at work, she is at home spending time with her family.
Tony
Project Supervisor
Tony is our project superintendent and head field technician. He has been with the company for over 5 years and brings over 20+ years of experience. He supervises all day-to-day activities with our home renovation projects and our rental property maintenance division. He also oversees our product quality and control with our subcontractors and job material orders. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his kids, grandkids, and pets.
Andrew
Field Technician
Andrew is the newest member to the team, and he currently is one of our field technicians. He performs a wide range of construction tasks including maintenance, plumbing, electrical, painting, and overall jobsite organization, and cleanliness. Some of his hobbies are going to the gym and spending time
with family.
